In 2016, training for a research degree at Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University was brought in line with the European standard of the third level of higher education. Educational component of preparation for educational-scientific level – doctor of philosophy (PhD) was introduced.
In accordance with the Act of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from March 23, 2016 №261 «On Approval of the Procedure for Preparing Recipients of Higher Education for Doctors of Philosophy and Doctors of Science in Higher Educational Institutions (Scientific Institutions)», new requirements were introduced for the training of recipients of higher education of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Science.
In accordance with paragraph 1 of part two of Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine «On Licensing Types of Economic Activity», based on the decisions of the Licensing Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (Record №11/2 from July 08, 2016) and the Act of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 816 «On Licensing of Educational Activities at the Third Educational-Scientific Level (from July 08, 2016, the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University the implementation of educational activities in the field of higher education at the third educational-scientific level of seven specializations was expended:
- 051 Economy,
- 073 Management,
- 101 Ecology,
- 201 Agronomy,
- 204 Technologies of production and processing of livestock products,
- 211 Veterinary medicine,
- 212 Veterinary hygiene, sanitation and expertise
with a total licensed volume of 35 people (5 people from each specialty).
Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University has four specialized council for doctoral and master's theses:
- Specialized academic council Д 27.821.01 has the right to hold the pubic defense of a thesis for the degree of Doctor (candidate) in Agricultural Sciences on specialties: 03.00.20 - Biotechnology and 06.02.02 - Animals feeding and forage technology (decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 1328 of December 21, 2015);
- Specialized academic council Д 27821.02 has the right to hold the public defense of a thesis for the degree of a Doctor (candidate) in Veterinary Sciences in the specialties: 16.00.01 - Diagnostics and Therapy of Animals and 16.00.05 - Veterinary Surgery (decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 1021 of October 07, 2015);
- Specialized academic council Д 27.821.03 has the right to hold the public defense of a thesis for the degree of a Doctor (candidate) in Economic Sciences in the specialties: 08.00.03 - Economy and Management of National Economy and 08.00.04 - Economics and Management of Enterprises (by types of economic activity: agriculture, forestry and fisheries) (decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 241 of March 9, 2016);
- Specialized Academic Council Д 27.821.04 has the right to hold the public defense of a thesis for the degree of a Doctor (candidate) in Agricultural Sciences on specialties: 06.01.05 "Breeding and Seeding" and 06.01.09 "Crop Science" (decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 1222 of October 07, 2016).
